What Is Your Outlet?

For the stay-at-home momma that seems to be spinning in circles, for the working momma that feels like she doesn’t get a chance to stop, for the mommas doing it alone with no help at all but manage to push through without showing the breaking point in front of her kids…I ask, what is your outlet?

When you feel the burden weighing on your shoulders, when you feel the pain no one else can see. When you feel like the world just won’t give you a break, I ask you…what is your outlet? Do you know what your outlet is? Have you stopped to realize you need an outlet? You deserve an outlet. Sometimes mommas don’t realize it, but we all need it. Some mommas have outlets that might not be the best way, but they don’t know any other way. Some might not even realize they need an outlet, but they could really use one.

The last thing we need to feel after a long day of working, taking care of the kids, keeping the house tidy, checking in with everyone, is judgment and to feel ashamed. No momma wants to feel that way and shouldn’t. My platform isn’t a place of judgment, it’s a place to come together, to support each other and to remind each momma that you are loved and you are being cheered for even when you don’t know it.

It’s healthy to remind yourself and your family that you need a moment, that you need time and that you need space. You shouldn’t feel guilty for wanting any of that because if you are not healthy, if you are not whole, you cannot take care of others. Take care of yourself first, get your mind centered, clear your soul and spirit of any cloudiness you may feel or see. It’s OK! I may sound like another silly cliche motivational quote you see when you are scrolling online, but you are seeing it for a reason and if you haven’t stopped to pay attention to it yet, now is the time.

Find your outlet, whatever you might need it to be, find your outlet. One that is going to be good for your heart, spirit and soul. Great for you so you can go about your days and be the strength your family needs. Amazing for your inner self because at the end of the day you are an individual that’s in need of the attention. I just wanted to take a moment and candidly write something not structured at all, but something that was just on my mind in the moment, and I hope that you find some comfort in this piece and take and apply it however fits your life.
