Reasons Why It’s Good To Be Around Positive Energy More Often For Mommas

There is so much negative and sadness in and around our worlds, I wanted to find a topic for my next post that would help and be a benefit to us mommas instead of reflecting on what we are constantly seeing each day right now that weighs us down. It took me a while to find the energy to write because I have been internalizing everything around me like so many other mommas do on a daily basis. It’s ok, we are human, sometimes we can’t help it. But we also must remember we have others that depend on us, look for our smiles, our laughs and our attention so pushing through is a must.

Where do we begin when we’re trying to tap into our positive energy and a be surrounded by energy that’s helping us instead of hurting us? When you realize you’ve been surrounded with more negative thoughts and vibes and you are ready for a change but don’t know how to pull yourself out of it, there are so many resources around for us mommas that can help that you may not even think of yourself. Also…some things that we do or have done at one point in time can also help.

“Control what you can control”…We have seen this quote, or quotes like this that it’s sometimes funny to me that we have a hard time practicing. It is hard for me and I absolutely love this quote and believe it! But even though I understand there are things out of my control and hands, I find sometimes struggling to accept what is and continue with life. This can apply to almost anything right…from family or friends and the relationships we have or don’t have to work if we are still working mommas, to events that unfold within our community.

Because I am still getting in the groove of digging down and finding some sunshine for my blog, I took some time to look up reasons why positive energy is good for us mommas, and ways we can tap into it to give ourselves the vibes we need to get through even the darkest moments that may surround us.

Paraphrased from an article written by Lisa Woods in 20219, these are scientific reasons it’s good to be positive and be around positive.

  1. A positive attitude can improve your immune system.

2. Positive thinking reduces anxiety.

3. Happiness promotes success in health, work and relationships.

Ways of creating a positive environment – some of these are taken from another article I read by PhD Elizabeth Scott on reducing stress with positive energy

  1. Read inspirational books – it can create a positive and optimistic impact on your life.

2. Listen to music – research has shown that listening to music can reduce anxiety, blood pressure, and pain as well as improve sleep quality, mood, mental alertness, and memory.

3. Affirmations –  it can boost your motivation, confidence, resilience to stress, and general outlook etc…
