24 Oct Part 1- Inside The Thoughts Of A SAHM
The Kick Off Series
I will say that since starting my blog after becoming a stay-at-home mom, I have found there are plenty of other mommas just like me or similar to me on various platforms, which makes me feel less alien-like. I truly enjoy the feeling of sharing stories, thoughts and ideas and not being judged and made to feel guilty because of it. Or even better, become the main chat with some high school gossip session. I am beyond that, and being an over 40 momma, I am zoning in and embracing those that can relate and have a mindset that’s similar.
The more time goes on, the more I am focused on bringing other mommas voices to my blog. I think that it’s important to support and acknowledge each other within our community and give others the opportunity to give their perspective to their audiences. I never envisioned my blog just being posts and posts on me writing what I’m thinking and feeling. I want to give my readers and mom community more. So this is my first attempt at doing so.
While we may have in common that we are sahms, we most likely handle our emotions, our challenges, victories and losses differently. We might feel there’s never enough time in the day, we might have a moment of burn out, we might have a moment of fog brain, we might be overcome with joy! There are so many emotions we go through. If you just Google stay-at-home mom feelings more likely than not you will get a bunch of articles about depression in stay-at-home moms. But that’s not all we have!! There are plenty of stay-at-home moms that are not depressed!!! We might have moments of trying to figure out how to have time for ourselves, we want to go out and mingle with other mommas, we want to feel sexy, we want to have a moment of not talking to kids all day…but that does not mean we have to be depressed.
My goal over this series is to shed light on other stay-at-home moms and give a platform to their voices as well as give readers insight on the various things us sahms overcome and feel.
While I am about to make an assumption on the below photo, I will say all these facial expressions could definitely sum up all the different feelings we feel as women and mommas! I do think this pretty girl looks to young to be a stay-at-home mom, however there are a lot of beautiful women that age gracefully and have kids at various ages….so yes, that was my assumption. This was a pexels free image lol!
